The Dirt

My Love Story

My husband and I met in high school when I was a sophomore. When I graduated and moved, we started our long distance chapter, which only ended when we married nearly four years later. We live the military lifestyle, moving often, and separating when we must. We have grown up with each other since we were kids, facing challenges and changes head on, and leaning in the only way we know how; together. He is easily one of the funniest people I know, and makes me the center of his universe while making sure I remain level headed enough to know I am not the center of the entire universe. Pretty much anyone would agree that to know him is to love him.

My Motherhood

Our older girls are a mere 18 months apart. Isabella is well versed in sass, while Zoey gets by with some serious RBF. If you don’t know what that is, google it, and laugh (if you know her). Ruby is our little one, who we were surprised with, five years after having Zoey. She entertains us endlessly with her cute face and sour patch kid antics. They are all three incredibly different from myself in many ways, but burn with my same fire, and we couldn’t be prouder of them. We also have a dog, Maisey, who is the best pup our family could ask for.

My “job”

At the age of 21 I married my high school sweetheart after he joined the military. At the age of 22 I gave birth to our first daughter. The following year, I graduated college with a BSW, just as I found out I was pregnant with our second daughter. With a deployment and a move on the horizon, I started my journey into Stay at Home Momma land. Five years, and three moves later, I gave birth to our third daughter. After two cross country moves, we are currently on the east coast, enjoying being in our thirties and the slower life style, sweet tea, and good southern food our current duty station has to offer.

My goal here is to document, share, and inspire. I hope you enjoy this little corner of ours.
